Starting January 1st, pharmacists can prescribe medication to patients at no cost at all. Ontario pharmacies will officially be able to assess and prescribe medication for 13 common ailments. Pharmacists at Carl's will be able to prescribe these following ailments, both in-store and virtuall (video and phone calls).

Conjunctivitis (bacterial, allergic and viral).

Dermatitis (atopic, eczema, allergic and contact).

Herpes labialis (cold sores).

Impetigo.

Insect bites and urticaria (hives).

Tick bites, post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent Lyme disease.
